Stripping, Waxing & Buffing
The comings and goings inside offices make floor surfaces lose their shine and luster after a long while. When properly maintained, these floors look good; but this involves an attentive amount of stripping, waxing and buffing. We do all of these tasks to keep vinyl composition tile (VCT) and concrete flooring always shiny and beautiful to walk on.
The Three-Step Process
- The process begins as we sweep the floor and apply stripper to remove the old wax over the floor surface.
- To remove old residue from floor surfaces, we buff and mop all stripped areas. New wax is then applied to the stripped floor.
- The third step in the process takes place after a couple of weeks: we varnish the wax into the floor.
This makes the compound that adheres to the floor firmly to make surfaces glossy.
Quarterly Maintenance Recommended
Office floors can be kept shiny through quarterly maintenance procedures. We make sure that the wax is sealed on floors so that they retain their gloss for a longer time. Doing so also preserves floor surface sheen and lessens the amount of work that needs to be done when mopping and sweeping floors.
